Sacre Bleu Wine Network

The term sacre bleu has had many interpretations throughout the centuries. It has evolved from a reference to the blue robe worn by the Virgin Mary in Renaissance paintings to a contemporary expression of astonishment. While it’s literal translation is sacred blue, today it is most commonly used to express amazement. This is precisely why we chose the name and the winemaker. Gustave Viennet makes our wine in the Languedoc region of south France. A place where art flourishes and wine is a muse.

    About Sacre Bleu

    Sacre Bleu Wine
The term sacre bleu has had many interpretations throughout the centuries. It has evolved from a reference to the blue robe worn by the Virgin Mary in Renaissance paintings to a contemporary expression of astonishment used by the candelabra character Lumier in the movie Beauty and the Beast. While it’s literal translation is sacred blue, today it is most commonly used to express amazement. This is precisely why we chose the name and the winemaker. Gustave Viennet makes our wine in the Languedoc region of south France. It is cared for and bottled at Chateau de Raissac, a place where art flourishes and wine is a muse. Gustave Viennet presides over the creation of a wine which we believe will truly astonish.
